THE trial of two directors of a Bulawayo security company who are facing charges of fraud will start on 20 May.
Nkululeko Hlongwane (47) and Andrew Nyathi (53) have not been asked to plead to fraud by Bulawayo magistrate Mr Takundwa Witness Mtetwa.
They are out of custody on $100 bail.
Hlongwane of 32683 Entumbane and Nyathi of 33059 in the same suburb were ordered to report once a week to Entumbane Police Station and to reside at their given addresses and not to interfere with State witnesses until the matter has been finalised.
The two were employed by Haps Security Company situated at Number 46 Robert, Mugabe' Way in Bulawayo.
The complainant in the matter is Ms Julioth Chizhande, who was a co-director at the company.
It is alleged that sometime in August last year, Ms
Chizhande's mother fell ill and she went to attend to her in the rural areas and returned to work in January this year.
On her return, Hlongwane and Nyathi allegedly told her that Haps Security Company had been de-registered by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) and closed down in her absence.
The court heard that the complainant asked from the company's clients, who told her that Hlongwane and Nyathi had formed their own company tailed Composted Security Services and were approaching clients vising the name of Haps Security Company.
It is Alleged that the two continued using Haps Security Company's workers and contracts to get new clients.
The court heard that they only introduced a different uniform from their previous employer's.
By way of misrepresenting, Hlongwane and Nyathi defrauded Haps Security Company of $7 360.
Mr Malvern Nzombe is representing the State.
