Prominent Bulawayo Lawyer, Businessman and Human Rights Defender who is a member of the Welshman Ncube led MDC, Sindiso Mazibisa, has called for the Zanu-PF led Government to consider uniting with other political players in the country to form a United Front towards salvaging the economy from the doldrums that it is bedevilled in. Mazibisa described Zimbabwe as undergoing apolitical and economic vortex.
"The government's failure to pay civil servants the agreed ,yet petty, increment is proof of the collapsed economic condition. We are 7 months away for the 31 July elections and there is little or no hope for the current government to find funds to fund not only salaries but capital expenditure.
"The look east policy is failing to turn the attitude and effort into money and investment the indigenisation policy and project has failed to yield immediate and needed positive results," said Mazibisa.
Mazibisa's statements comes as the Government Minister of Finance Patrick Chinamasa has repeatedly failed to fill his begging with any money from the Chinese to the IMF.
Zanu-PF as the party that won the election cannot ignore the more than 1 million Zimbabweans who voted against it.
The attitude that they can do it alone is misplaced and not practical.'
Mazibisa bemoaned the stinking odour of corruption that is all over the parastals in Zimbabwe and the childish behavior of Parliamentarians, "The parliament is a mere talk show, parastatals have been exposed for what they have always been, a haven for looting and plunder.
"We need a paradigm shift and the time for another GNU has come and the President should consider a cabinet re shuffle and over haul to deal with ministers whose only preoccupation has been dissolving boards, characterized by ineptitude and failure to grasp basic business principles and concepts.
"That's why over the past few months the President's office has been forced to coordinate ministerial business. The time for a fair and just Zimbabwe Is Now," said Mazibisa.
