RESIDENTS of Bulawayo's New Lobengula suburb are now living in fear after a family last week woke up to find snakes and some paraphernalia assorted with witchcraft at its gate.
Miriam Ndlovu was shocked to find a dead python, about three metres long, tied with a black cloth and a live two-metres long mamba at her gate on Friday.
Scores of residents thronged the family house to catch a glimpse of the strange scene that has left the Lobengula community dumbfounded.
Concerned residents told Chronicle yesterday they were no longer comfortable staying in the area.
They said what was worrying was that the strange things were at Ndlovu's gate yet she and two other women who were neighbours, were inyangas.
Ward 14 councillor, Mcdonald Chunga said residents resolved to meet today to discuss the issue with a view to map the way forward.
"I have tried to find an explanation from Ms Ndlovu regarding this strange happening but it seems she has no clue hence the decision to meet tomorrow," said Clr Chunga.
