BRUISED Zanu PF Bulawayo provincial chairman Callistus Ndlovu have been thrown a life line by the party's provincial political head Sikhanyiso Ndlovu who dismissed any possibilities of him being booted out.
Sikhanyiso told the Press yesterday that the Bulawayo provincial chairmanship was still in the hands of Callistus whom media reports claimed had been ousted.
"Callistus is still in charge and some of you journalists heard that there was a new executive committee for Zanu PF in the (Bulawayo) city centre branch and went on to write that it was the province," Sikhanyiso told a local daily.
"Bulawayo is still intact and the chairperson's relations with party members are excellent."
Sikhanyiso said the vote of no confidence waves sweeping across the country ought to be done in adherence with party procedures and not used just to settle personal differences.
"People need to follow party procedures when they cast a vote of no confidence on individuals and not just do it to fix each other over unknown issues," he said.
"We do not expect people to cast a no vote of no confidence on individuals for the purpose of settling differences.
"Presently I cannot say that we have people who have been affected by a no vote of confidence, because the Zanu PF national disciplinary committee has not received anything.
"A vote of no confidence does not work until it is sent to the national chairman."
Sikhanyiso said if people had any differences, they should sit down and try to identify the problems so they can be solved amicably.
"As a party, we are in the process of identifying the problem with the purpose of solving it and we are doing this peacefully," he continued. "People must learn to reconcile and work together in preparation for congress next month."
Serious divisions have rocked Zanu PF, as the party heads for its elective congress next month over the unresolved succession issue, as the faction linked to Justice Minister, Emmerson Mnangagwa has spearheaded the vote of no confidence in all provincial chairpersons linked to Vice-President Joice Mujuru.
