The Zanu-PF Bulawayo Province Executive has passed a vote of no confidence in the Chairman, Professor Callistus Ndlovu and four other members, who are now facing prosecution for abusing party resources.

27 members voted for the ouster of Professor Ndlovu, his deputy Christopher Dube, Secretary for Administration Elifas Mashaba, Secretary for Finance Charles Chiponda, Secretary for the Commissariat Canaan Ncube and the Secretary for Security Nicholas Mhlanga.

The Deputy Secretary for Business Development and Liaison, George Mlala is now the Acting Chairman of the province.

Announcing the resolution, the Deputy Secretary for Science and Technology in the Bulawayo executive, Nacisio Makhulumo said Professor Ndlovu, amongst other things, openly declined to announce the endorsement of President Robert Mugabe as the First Secretary and President of the party and the First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe as the incoming Women's League Secretary during a Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting held on the 2nd of this month.

He said this led to Central Committee member, Godfrey Malaba to make the announcement.

Professor Ndlovu is also alleged to have connived with Chiponda, Mashaba and Mhlanga to swindle the party of more than US$15000 gained from the sale of party cards.

Sometime in October this year, Professor Ndlovu is also alleged to have defended an MDC-T victory in the province, saying most metropolitan provinces in the SADC region, which include Gaborone in Botswana and Maputo in Mozambique, are run by the opposition.

In addition to that, Professor Ndlovu, together with his deputy, Dube are alleged to have invaded Mazwi Nature Reserve and Dumiso Dabengwa's farm on the outskirts of the city using party members whom they later dumped when the invasions failed.

They are now facing prosecution.

Professor Ndlovu becomes the 7th Zanu-PF Chairperson to be booted out after Themba Mliswa, Callisto Gwanetsa, Amos Midzi, Jason Machaya, Andrew Langa and John Shumba Mvundura.
