A Bulawayo man who allegedly hires his girlfriend out for sex with other men has been arrested for allegedly stealing a cell phone from a 'client' who failed to pay for sex.
Mthulisi Ndimande (40) allegedly allows other men to sleep with his girlfriend, Zandile Nsingo (38) so that he can get money for beer.
He allegedly took Marshal Ncube's used Samsung Galaxy S4 valued at $200 after Ncube failed to pay Nsingo $15 for sexual services.
Ncube had allegedly promised to give Nsingo the phone to hold on to while he looked for the $15, but later changed his mind.
Nsingo and Ndimande appeared before magistrate Tancy Dube facing a theft charge.
They were not asked to plead and were remanded out of custody to today.
The prosecutor, Kenneth Shava said on Tuesday last week at around 8PM, at Pumula Old Beer Garden Ncube was drinking beer Nsingo and Ndimande approached him.
He said Ndimande told Ncube he could have sex with Nsingo for only $15 and he agreed.
Shava said Ncube after sleeping with Nsingo, claimed he had lost his wallet.
Ncube allegedly said he would hand over his phone while he went home to get the cash, but later refused to hand it over.
The court heard Nsingo tricked him into handing it over by asking for the phone, pretending she wanted to make an urgent call.
Shava said Ncube went to the toilet and gave the phone to Ndimande, who told Ncube to get lost.
Ndimande allegedly told Ncube no one enjoyed his woman for free, adding the value of the cell phone was equal to the "quality service" Ncube had enjoyed.
Ncube reported the matter to the police leading to the duo's arrest.
