Mugabe to cap 2 300 at NUST

PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe is set to cap 2 304 National University of Science and Technology (NUST) graduands at the university's 21st graduation ceremony on Friday.
Nust's director of communication and marketing, Felix Moyo said the graduation rehearsals are underway and the university is preparing for the ceremony.
"The graduation ceremony is going to start at 9:30 am Friday, and this day (Thursday 12) was set for graduation rehearsals and they are underway and so far they are going well," said Moyo.
He said the graduation is going to have it's usual guests, and benefactors.
"All our usual guests are going to be there, namely the Vice Chancellors from universities in the country, representatives from the industry of commerce and anyone else who would like to be part of the event," said Moyo.
The University, which was established in the year 1991 with 3 faculties, held its first ever graduation on Saturday 27 May 1995, at which 163 graduates from the Faculties of Commerce and Applied Sciences were capped and the Doctor of Technology honorary degree was conferred upon the President and Chancellor Robert Mugabe.
