MDC lashes Mugabe over Tsvangirai 'insults'

The MDC has condemned President Mugabe for insulting opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

Mugabe had earlier said that the MDC no longer existed as a political party, while addressing party supporters ahead of its Politburo meeting.

The MDC has said instead of focusing on berating the MDC, President Mugabe should focus on the economy.

MDC spokesperson Obert Gutu rubbished Mugabe's sentiments, saying that Mugabe should Morgan Tsvangirai remained the most popular politician in the country.

He added that Zanu-PF has lost the plot and as a result is now focusing on unimportant issues.
