BCC officials embark on investment and twinning trip to China

Five top Bulawayo City Council officials are set to travel to China for an investment promotion and twinning trip.

Government, through the office of the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs, Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Eunice Sandi-Moyo invited council to be part of the delegation early this month.

The Ministry of Macro Economic Planning and Investment Promotion is coordinating an Investment Promotion trip to Qingdao, China.

Reads part of the invitation to council seen by Bulawayo24.com "Metropolitan Province are invited to take part in this trip to promote investment for Bulawayo.

"This visit in May 2016 is a culmination of the talks done earlier this year.

Bulawayo City Council is therefore requested to come up with a delegation of at least 5 people which may include the His Worship the Mayor and four other technocrats that will accompany the Honourable Minister to Qingdao, China".

It added " The revival of Bulawayo requires a joint effort that will guarantee the turnaround of industry in the City".

Council seconded the mayor, acting Town Clerk, Mrs Sikhangele Zhou, director of Engineering Services, Engineer Simela Dube, Acting City Economic Development Officer, Brian Hlongwane and senior Public Relations Officer Nesisa Mpofu.
