The Minister of State for Bulawayo Provincial Affairs, Eunice Sandi-Moyo has claimed that her boss President Robert Mugabe deadly loves Bulawayo.

She said Mugabe's demonstration of his concern was through providing youth with land to build houses.

Sandi-Moyo told hundreds of Zanu PF youth at the ground breaking ceremony for their exclusive township outside Bulawayo on Thursday.

She said the youth should  take ownership of the project and work hard.

"What we're witnessing here today is a clear sign that President Mugabe loves the people of Bulawayo and is concerned about our well being.

"I want to encourage the youths to take ownership of this project, hold on to it and work hard to ensure its success. The project will be handled by the local government ministry and Urban Development Corporation. I want the youth to co-operate and do as they are told because this is a project they will benefit from,"  said Sandi-Moyo.

Mugabe (92) at the burial of Enos Nkala described Bulawayo as a scrapped city due to collapse of the once vibrant industrial zone.
