Zanu-PF 'conmen' fleecing civil servants ahead of annual conference

The ruling party Zanu-PF is rumoured to have ordered civil servants to contribute at least $10 each towards its annual conference this year.
The conference, which is pegged at $4 million will be held in Masvingo.
According to NewsDay the teacher in Masvingo were given a donation form that reads: "This is being done at ward level for all civil servants and businesspeople. We are expecting help of a minimum of $10 to assist us to run the conference in Masvingo."
Zanu PF secretary for finance Obert Mpofu told the publication that he was not aware that such a donation form was circulating in that area.
Mpofu said "even conmen would do that."
