ZANU PF youths in Mvurwi Mashonaland Central are not happy with the current vote buying in form of inputs offered to the elderly.

Speaking to Bulawayo24.com youth national youth service members who preferred anonymity said more emphasis is being put to the elderly whilst neglecting the youth yet they all vote

"We are not happy with the current exercise these inputs and the brown rice is being offered to the grannie which is very unfair because come election time we all vote," lamented the source.

Research and Advocacy Unit who conducted an audit of Zimbabwe voters roll vis-a vis the population census say very few adults under 30years are registered to vote. This is most marked in the 18-19 age band, where only 8,87 percent of 524142 people are registered voters.

In numerical terms of those between the age of 18 and 30 years 1920424 ought to be registered as voters but are not.

According to analysts the youth own the majority of Zimbabwean population but handfuls are registered voters yet they cry foul about elections. It is high time youths stand up and be counted.
