Zanu-PF has rubbished the Memoranda of Understanding signed between MDC-T and two other opposition parties, saying it was a desperate attempt by the parties to solicit for funding from the West.

MDC-T signed an MoU with the Joice Mujuru-led National People's Party on Wednesday and yesterday inked another one with Professor Welshman Ncube's MDC. Zanu-PF secretary for Information and Publicity Simon Khaya Moyo said the revolutionary party was unmoved by the latest developments. Khaya Moyo said Zanu-PF could not be defeated in any elections because of its strong policies.

Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai and former secretary general Welshman Ncube yesterday ended their long stand-off when they signed a memorandum of understanding to work together in the watershed 2018 national elections.

This comes after Tsvangirai signed a similar deal with former Vice President Joice Mujuru on Wednesday as the opposition edges closer to finalising the long mooted grand coalition in their bid to end President Robert Mugabe's and Zanu-PF's rule next year.
