Acting President Phelekezela Mphoko has denounced violence that rocked the Zanu-PF Bulawayo province structures over the weekend saying such acts of hooliganism have no place in the revolutionary party.

Acting President Mphoko said those who are bent on fanning violence in Zanu-PF are power hungry people who don't have grassroots support and who want to bulldoze into the party structures and disturb peace.

Mphoko said Bulawayo will not allow opportunists and fronts of some political elements to infiltrate party structures and influence structures to take decisions that work against the vision of Zanu-PF.

He added that those who say Saviour Kasukuwere is not fit to hold the post of party political commissar on the basis that he is not a war veteran have no argument.

Zanu-PF members were at each other's throat over the weekend at Davis Hall, a development that disrupted the meeting.
