Another war veteran Richard Kehla (69) has been dragged to court following the violence that erupted at the Zanu-PF Bulawayo's Davies Hall on Sunday.
He was charged with assault. He appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya and was further remanded.
Allegations against him are that on May 21 at 9am he went to Davies Hall intending to attend the Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting.A war vet George Mlala by virtue of being provincial secretary for security started screening delegates who deserved to attend the meeting using the register.
Before he could star accrediting the members, Kehla and others started complaining that he was being unfair and was aligned to one faction in the party.
Kehla allegedly attacked him with a clinched fist and used his walking stick to strike him several times. A report made to the police led to his arrest.
