Zanu-PF youths urged to take 2018 polls seriously

Zanu-PF youths have been urged to take the 2018 elections seriously through working on strengthening party structures.
An electric atmosphere engulfed Filabusi Hall this Wednesday as Zanu-PF youths from Insiza district, Matabeleland South Province pledged their loyalty and unwavering support for President Robert Mugabe ahead of next year's election showdown.
Addressing the inter-district meeting to mobilise youths for the Presidential Youth Interface expected soon, the Youth League's Provincial Political Commissar, Vumani Moyo urged young people to support President Mugabe by voting him into office.
The youths were also encouraged to use social media to defend the values and ideals of the revolution and not to cause divisions.
Responding to the challenges presented by youths from various wards which included the issue of residential stands, the Zanu-PF Matabeleland Provincial Youth Chairman, Lizwe Moyo said land has since been availed in Gwanda and Plumtree for the housing programme.
Other challenges to be forwarded to President Mugabe during his visit include lack of mining equipment, funding for projects and land for agriculture.
The youth provincial executive has been mobilising youths in all the seven districts to prepare for President Mugabe's visit.
