In remarks that are likely to stoke tensions within opposition ranks, National People's Party leader Joice Mujuru has once again punted herself to lead the country's envisaged grand coalition, at the same time seemingly questioning they suitability of MDC leader, Morgan Tsvangirai to front the mooted alliance.
This comes despite Mujuru having recently signed a MoU with Tsvangirai as they signalled their intention of finalizing talks for the mooted opposition alliance.
Meanwhile, Mujuru has vowed to contest the upcoming 2018 general elections despite claims the ruling party has already rigged the polls.
This comes amid reports some opposition parties were considering boycotting the elections in protest over the Zanu PF government's refusal to implement electoral reforms to ensure a level political playing field.
Mujuru said on the side lines of the Women Electoral Convergence (WEC) rally in Bulawayo last Friday, that boycotting next year's elections was not an option.
