Zanu-PF Matabeleland South has received a new fleet of vehicles which is expected to assist the party in preparing for the 2018 polls as well as the 17th National People's Conference that will be hosted by the province in December.
Matabeleland South's provincial organising committee for the 2017 Zanu-PF National People's Conference convened in Gwanda yesterday to give feedback on the preliminary work that has been done so far by the various sub committees.
The Zanu-PF provincial chairman, Cde Rabelani Choene took the opportunity to announce that the province has received three single cab trucks which were allocated to Umzingwane, Gwanda and Matobo districts.
The new fleet which also includes a Ford Fiesta will go a long way in assisting the party to coordinate various activities ahead of the conference and 2018 elections.
The provincial organising committee has been reminded to demonstrate unity of purpose and commitment as they prepare for the National People's Conference which is a few months away.
The proposed venue for the conference is the Gwanda show ground while various hotels, lodges, institutions in and around Gwanda are expected to provide accommodation to the delegates.
Meanwhile, the party leadership was challenged to prepare for the forthcoming harmonised elections through encouraging youths to join the revolutionary Zanu-PF party.
