ZEC Chairperson (Makarau) a 'Zanu PF non-constituent MP'

A political commentator Pedzisai Ruhanya has described Zimbabwe Electoral Commission Chairperson Rita Makarau as a non constituent Zanu PF MP with sinister motive to prop the ruling party to victory in the 2018 elections.
"ZEC chairperson and former Zanu PF Non-Constituent MP Makarau (2000) announced that there would be 9 663 voter registration centers in Zim. Harare and Bulawayo would have 700 and 400 centers respectively, Manicaland; 1 310, Mash East; 1 135, Mash West; 1220, Masvingo; 1265, Mat North 850; Mat South 640 and Midlands 1 390," Ruhanya said.
"Harare and Bulawayo have the highest voter population densities and the registration centers are not concomitant with the distribution. Mat provinces that have consistently rebelled against the system also have fewer centers."
He said this distribution suggest that in the 2013 election, urban voter suppression was manipulated using the same system.
"If the opposition allows this Menu of Manipulation to prevail 2018 is done. Stop Makarau. This is very dirty and Ugly," he said.
