Former Radio Zimbabvwe presenter has challenged the leaders of the MDC-T to rein on the party thugs who showed disrespect to their leader Vice President Thokozani Khupe and assaulted her.
Khupe was one of the people who were assaulted by party thugs who claimed to have been sent by party leader Morgan Tsvangirai on Sunday in Bulawayo.
Eric Knight said he was disgusted by events in Bulawayo over the weekend where thugs purporting to be political activists attacked one of MDC-T Vice President Mama Khuphe.
"It is bad and I urge the powers that be within the Party to act and visibly bring the culprits to book if the Party is to make a bold statement that they stand for dignity and decency . I hate violence and I can never embrace it. Violence is cowardice and barbarism, it doesn't matter who is behind it. I can not be part of a bloody fibre and can never drink from the same cup with trigger happy buffoons who in this day and age still use violence to express feelings," Knight said.
"This is what some of us are trying to eradicate by our works and words. It's ungodly it's animalistic and a contradiction to what the institution is supposed to stand for. Hazviitwe izvo and hazviite. Akwenziwa lokho njalo akwenzi. Let's pray for peace and sanity in Zimbabwean politics."
