People's Democratic Party Bulawayo province has expressed happiness and welcome the signing of the agreement to negotiate with their brothers and sisters in MDC formations.
Bulawayo spokesperson Edwin Ndlovu said it is the step in the right direction to remove the Zanu PF illegitimate regime. We are committed to the grand coalition.
"But as a party we have made it clear that the coalition should include the following, We reject the 8 seats contained in the MDC Alliance a agreement, We deserve 70 contested seats across the country, We claim PR/ Senate seats across the country at 1PR and 1 Senate per province, We claim unconditionally the 21 seats that were held by our MPs before expulsion from parliament," he said.
"With the above we are ready to participate in any coalition or alliance, We don't want a merger or a takeover. We want our independence as a party, The name of the alliance should not be one of the parties. We need a collective name like what the Kenyans did."
