The Miss World Zimbabwe Trust will be sending a high powered delegation to China ahead of the Miss World finals to be held on November 16.
The delegation will be led by the Trust's chairperson Marry Chiwenga while a number of workshops are also scheduled prior to the pageant where Zim queen Chiedza Mhosva will be competing.
In an interview, Chiwenga said the trip was meant for the Trust members to learn how international pageants are conducted as well as to support the reigning queen.
"As the Miss World Zimbabwe Trust we subscribe to the Miss World beauty pageant and in everything that we do as a Trust we are expected to uphold standards of the Miss World pageant.
"Going to China for the pageant will certainly be an eye opener for us as a Trust, we need the exposure so that we become well versed with what is expected of us when we conduct the Miss World Zimbabwe beauty pageant.
"And of course we are also going there to support our queen Chiedza whom we are believing has what it takes to bring the crown home.
"Anything is possible at Miss World, it doesn't mean that one has to be white to deserve the crown. As a Trust we know Chiedza is certainly not a walk over, she is definitely a force to reckon," she said.
Chiwenga added that she was also looking forward to host the Miss World pageant.
"Over the years, we have been applying to host Miss World at Victoria Falls, our applications haven't been approved yet but we know it's just a matter of time, one of these days the privilege will be given to us," she said.
