A political commentator Nhlanhla Simon has insinuated that former Rhodesian Prime Minister Ian Smith was wrong to hand power to President Robert Mugabe in 1980.
He warned the Zanu PF youth league against perpetuating violence.
"You people who are called Zimbabwe African National Union - Patriotic Front Youth League (Zanu-PF-YL) you are thereby warned that your terrorism activities won't be tolerated any more. Those who are behind these terrorism activities against innocent citizens of Republic of Zimbabwe will be brought to justice," he said.
"You are further advised that, you to not legal right to beat, kill , intimidate or harass other citizens in order to coercise them to be Zanu-PF members or to vote," he said.
"First I have to point out that it was wrong for President Ian Smith to have handed the presidency to Robert Mugabe as it was contrary to constitution of Rhodesia chapter 29 which reads as follows;
"28 Qualifications and election of President
(1) A person shall be qualified for election as President if -
(a) he is a citizen of Zimbabwe by birth and by descent; and
(b) he has attained the age of forty years; and
(c) he/she is a citizen in Zimbabwe.
(2) The President shall be elected by voters."
He said given that Gabriel Matibiri the father of Robert Mugabe was a settler from Malawi, Robert Mugabe was not suppose to have been the president of Republic of Zimbabwe and therefore, for this reason Robert Mugabe remains illegal president of Zimbabwe.
"In this case, Zimbabwe is still colonized and under captivity. As for you Zanu PF-YL, if you allow yourself to be used by illegal president for illegal reasons, you will be held accountable for your actions legal. Zanu PF- YL must desist from its culture of terrorism and engage in Democratic Politics. All Zanu PF-YL will be arrested and face Justice System without compromise, fear and prejudice," he said.
"Therefore, all Zimbabwean Citizens and Residents, that are traumatized and terrorized by ZANU PF-YL must report it to nearest Police Station, journalist or inbox me. In case you have reported to nearest police station request for copy of statement and then keep it safe. Therefore, Zanu PF-YL , thereby warned that its terrorism activities won't be tolerated anymore and therefore behave yourself."
