Urban voters might hand over power to Zanu PF in 2018

An MDC-T official Chalton Hwende has warned that if the opposition parties are not doing anything about encouraging people to register to vote, the urban voters will hand over power to the ruling Zanu PF through low turn out to vote.
Figures show that a significant number of people have registered to vote in the rural areas which are regarded as Zanu PF strongholds while there is still very low numbers of urban registered voters.
"The urban electorate will hand over victory to Zanu PF if we don't double our efforts. Let's stop whatever we are doing and help register people especially in urban centers. The rural figures are frightening particularly in the Zanu PF strongholds," Hwende said.
