The political analyst Pedzisai Ruhanya has warned that the ruling Zanu PF must not be allowed to use the state machines to resolve its internal strife as this has resulting to party politics controlling the way the government departments behaviour.
Ruhanya say this in the wake of the military having intervene in the internal affairs of the ruling party which it blames for disturbilising the economy and livelihoods of the people.
"Now my take on the unfolding Zimbabwe crisis; Zanu PF should not be allowed to use the state to resolve its internal party problems. They should disentangle themselves from the state and fight outside while the state and its constitutional intuitions administer the affairs of the Republic," he said.
"Civil society and the democratic opposition should demand the end to state/party conflation and return the country to democratic legitimacy. The opposition especially should refuse to be co opted into any arrangement with the military and its civilian handlers."
He said no democratic force should enter into any arrangement with Zanu PF and its military cousins and push hard for total democratization of state politics.
"Don't repeat 2009 GNU to avoid the 2013 electoral outcome TRAGEDY," he said.
