Perennially troublesome Bulawayo ZANU PF youth league Magura Charumbira has been "thoroughly" beaten up by members of the public in Bulawayo allegedly for forcing vendors in the city to express loyalty to new President Emerson Mnangagwa.
Charumbira was attacked by a group of people in the outskirts of the Bulawayo CBD while harassing vendors.
Charumbira has been reportedly going around the city ordering vendors to join ZANU PF threatening them that they lose their vending stands which he claimed belonged to ZANU PF.
Charumbira irked residents of Bulawayo when he assaulted Bulawayo's Ward 9 Councillor Charles Moyo with fists at the vending bays outside Makokoba's Madlodlo Beerhall on Monday in full view of the vendors and two other MDC-T councillors when the councillors confronted him over his harassment of vendors.
Charumbira openly boasted that no one can do anything to him as he is protected by Mnangagwa and the soldiers while he assaulted the councillor.
When he tried to continue with his antics on Thursday at the same vending area, a crowd suspected to be members of the Mthwakazi Republic Party appeared from nowhere and thoroughly beat him up uttering tribal statements telling him to go and tell Mnangagwa that he is equally unwanted in Bulawayo as was his predecessor Robert Mugabe.
On Tuesday the information office of Mthwakazi Republic Party issued a strong media statement warning Charumbira to stop harassing the people of Bulawayo and get out of the city as a matter of urgency.
