Mnangagwa's current politburo to run until 2019

Zanu-PF President and First Secretary Emmerson Mnangagwa has urged party members to work hard to strengthen the party saying the politburo configuration will continue as it was until the end of its term in 2019.
Zanu-PF Secretary for Information and Publicity Simon Khaya Moyo revealed this when he briefed members of the media at the end of today's politburo meeting.
Khaya Moyo also said the politburo got a briefing from the Minister of Finance Patrick Chinamasa who is also the Secretary for Legal Affairs who said there is so much goodwill following the ushering in of the new dispensation.
Lands, Agriculture and Rural Resettlement Minister Air Marshal Perrance Shiri briefed the politburo on command agriculture where he highlighted that there is increased uptake of agriculture inputs as the season goes into full swing.
He said Air Marshal Shiri also underscored the need to revive operations at Cold Storage Company to enhance beef production in the country.
On preparations for the Zanu-PF extra-ordinary congress, the party's Secretary for Finance, who is also Acting Secretary for Administration Dr Obert Mpofu, told the politburo that almost all liberation movements in the sub-region have accepted invitations to attend the congress, including the Communist Party of China.
Meanwhile, Khaya Moyo also said the Central Committee meeting will be held tomorrow at the party headquarters in Harare.
Central Committee members are expected to be seated by 10 am.
