Zanu-PF politburo meets

Zanu-PFs politburo meets today, still reeling in shock after its former leader Robert Mugabe announced that he will be backing the newly formed New Patriotic Front.

Zanu-PF spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo yesterday said: "The Zanu-PF secretary for administration Dr Obert Mpofu is advising that there will be a Politburo meeting tomorrow at 9AM at the party headquarters. All members are requested to be punctual."

Khaya Moyo did not reveal the Politburo agenda, but insiders say the issue of primary elections and Mugabe's new role is likely to take centre stage.
