Mthwakazi Republic Party has said it has come to its attention that once again that the evil Zanu-PF party is planning to launch an attack on them.

"Our sources within Zanu-PF have authoritatively told us that in the past two weeks there have been several meetings at Davies hall Bulawayo's Zanu-PF provincial offices to plan on how to attack or possible destroy MRP. Little did they know that amongst them there are MRP sympathizers who understand our cause as it has become a public secret that MRP derives its support from across Matabeleland and Midlands people across the political divide. The Bulawayo provincial executive is seized with the matter as ordered by Harare," said the party.

"Our sources who spoke to us on condition of anonymity because of security reasons gave us the names and positions of those who attended the meetings. Stanley Ncube who attacked MRP on Newsday last week while calling on his Zanu-PF party leadership to stop us is said to have been pressured by his Harare war veterans leaders to issue a statement. The infighting within Zanu-PF has become a blessing in disguise for us as those aligned to G40 have vowed to vote for us, while those backing Khuphe have also shown interest in supporting MRP."

The party said Zanu-PF Politburo members are said to have also met in Harare at a meeting that also included the JOC representatives to discuss what they termed Matabeleland  uprising and it was again said that the biggest problem now in Matabeleland  is Mqondisi Moyo, his Mthwakazi Republic Party and the Chiefs that supports King Bulelani Collins Lobhengula Khumalo.

"A plan to attack us was then hatched, according to our sources Zanu said, killing and kidnapping, as well as forced disappearances, are old fashioned and can be easily traced back to them, hence they agreed to use the courts. According to Zanu-PF, all the frontline runners in MRP have court cases to answer and these can be swiftly used to break the party's influence in Matabeleland. The plan is to either intimidate our lawyers or pay them so they refuse to represent us. Zanu-PF also plans to bribe some of the MRP leaders with money as plan B," said the party.

"There are several farms set aside for MRP leaders which they plan to give us on condition that we abandon our struggle for self-determination. If the bribe scheme fails they plan to open court cases and arrest us towards elections so that we won't be able to attend the nominations court or worse still we fail to campaign. MRP President is said to be the main target."

"We would like to warn Zanu-PF to abandon their evil plans because this is the 21st century it would be impossible for them to secretly attack us like they did during the 1982 to 87 genocide that killed over 50 000 of our unarmed people. This time we hope that the international community won't be too busy to notice that."

The party said it will probably be suicidal on the coup government to attack a peaceful and unarmed people for merely exercising our Rights.

"We aware that Zanu-PF is in panicking mode and will do anything to stop us, the fact that the MDCs are in shambles and unavailable to take seats in Matabeleland like they used to do since 2000 means that the only party that stands a good chance to secure Mthwakazi seats is Mthwakazi Republic Party which makes it difficult for Zanu-PF to ignore us, considering the fact that Zanu-PF has always been rejected by Matabeleland voters even during the gukurahundi genocide era in 1985 Matabeleland refused to vote for Zanu," said the party.

"Of late the state media has been on our case, publishing all manner of falsehood and deliberately calling us a pressure group instead of a party that we are, as has become the norm what the state media says is also according to Zanu-PF Politburo thinking. We are not fazed at all by Zanu-PF shenanigans, and we know that we are the only party that has a message and Manifesto that resonates well with Mthwakazi's electorate. It will be impossible for us to lose a free and fair election and Zanu-PF is aware of that."

"We will continue with our peaceful campaign programs and we won't panic or succumb to pressure by our detractors, to us its forward ever and back ward never, we are ready for whatever Zanu-PF brings our way."
