ZANU-PF commissar Engelbert Rugeje has urged aggrieved aspiring ruling party candidates whose CVs were rejected to approach his office for redress.

Several Zanu-PF aspiring candidates have complained of unfair treatment.

In Chinhoyi yesterday, Zanu-PF officials accused their provincial leadership of bias.

Rugeje said those feeling hard done should come forward.

"Those people must report their issues through the normal channels and we will attend to them.

"Some have already contacted us and we have explained to them how the matter is handled," he said.

"Vetting is not done at district or provincial level, but it is done at the national level by a commission of nine people and chaired by the commissar and in this case it's myself.

"We are saying every aspiring candidate after submitting the CV and an application to stand as a candidate, no one has the mandate to remove that CV.

"The province has no such power to disqualify and the district too. it is the commission that has the final say and that commission has not yet sat."

In Manicaland, several reports have been filed against the provincial chairperson Mike Madiro for allegedly trying elbow out some aspiring candidates.
