A Harare pastor has been dragged to court after he accused a congregant at his church of being a witch.
Noah Daka (54), from Deeper Life Bible Church, Dzivaresekwa, appeared in court on Friday facing charges of contravening the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
Magistrate Edwin Marecha remanded Daka to June 12 for trial. Prosecutors said on February 24 at around 8pm Babra Samu was approached by Daka who accused her of being a witch.
He ordered her to leave the house where she was staying because she was allegedly bewitching other church members.
Samu reported the matter to the police, leading to Daka's arrest.
