Zanu-PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Rugare Gumbo has dismissed as senseless some media reports that President Robert Mugabe is battling for his life in a Singapore hospital.
Gumbo told Zbc that the reports are the creation of the country's detractors who are working with those bent on regime change in Zimbabwe.
He said Zimbabwe has a straight forward procedure of power transfer in the case of ill-health or incapacitation of a sitting head of state and not what is being alleged.
The Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Misheck Sibanda has issued a statement announcing that Mugabe returns home this week and will chair a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
