Seasoned journalist tells Chigumba critics off, blames Mnangagwa for chaos in ZEC

A seasoned journalist Methuseli Moyo has warned the opposition political parties seeking for the ouster of Zimbabwe Electoral Commission Chairperson Priscilla Chigumba  to resigned that their targeted is misplaced as the culprit is President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Zanu PF who are appointing authorities.

The remarks come in the wake of escalating calls for Chigumba to resign as she stands accused of numerous irregularities in the current electoral process.

"The incumbent is Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa and Zanu PF, and not Justice Priscillah Chigumba and ZEC. The sooner the opposition appreciated that the better for them. Mugabe and Nkomo were able to change things after defefeating Ian Smith in elections. By hounding Chigumba, an appointee, and a woman for that matter - going to the extent of exposing who she shares her life with, makes ED's opponents appear desperate and defeated, even before the poll is held," Moyo said.
