An EPWORTH woman yesterday dragged her neighbour to court for accusing her of witchcraft.
Loveness Machinga appeared at the Harare Civil Court where she applied for a peace order against her neighbour Ethel Rusere who verbally insults her.
"She insults me daily, saying I am a witch.
"She alleges that she went to a prophet and was advised that I killed her child," said Machinga.
Machinga told the court that she lodged a complaint with the police and was advised to seek protection from the court.
"I reported at the police station and was advised to seek protection from this court since there were some threats," she said.
In response, Rusere denied the allegations.
"I have never said she is a witch; I have never threatened her.
"My daughter died in 2012 when she was playing with others," said Rusere.
Presiding magistrate Noah Gwatidzo granted the order in favour of Machinga.
