MDC senior official Sesel Zvidzai has said the MDC Alliance led councils will deliver to the residents.
"We concluded our Mayoral placement processes in the 26 urban local authorities which voted for The MDC in the past election. The nation should rest assured that their local government areas are in second to none hands. We have women and men of impeccable credentials at the 26 helms," he said.
"The real work starts now and as Secretary for local government and Alternative Minister of local government and Devolution I commit to work tirelessly for the local government sector to deliver world class and more than value for money services."
"We shall strive to plant new service delivery models and approaches for effectiveness. We invite stakeholders to work and walk with us on this onerous journey."
