Zapu spokesperson Iphithule Thembani KaMaphosa has rapped the MDC Alliance legislators for walking out from President Emmerson Mnangagwa in parliament at the same time when the party's Harare Mayor is later seen walking with the same durin g a visit to Glenview Cholera affected area.

"You walk out of parliament proceedings because you want to convince us ED is illegitimate. This is while Bulawayo Mayor received him to the City of Kings last Tuesday. Just as you are grouped on pavements, not only does Harare Mayor tour the Cholera Epicentre, but he does it holding hands with Mnangagwa. Both mayors are Mdc Alliance. My brother and sister, if you are one of those MPs who walked out from parly you are a disgrace," he said.

"You need help. You also need to move away from kindergarten politics that results from block thinking. You need to explain to some of us how an election in July produced a legitimate parliament and local authority councils while producing an illegitimate president. If you can't explain this you need to learn basic respect of the electorate."

He said if no explanation is given he might as well remind them that what they did is dishonourable and is a serious betrayal of both duty and the desperate man and woman on the streets of Zimbabwe.

"Infact, you deserve to be recalled, for work of the legislator is carried out in two places, namely parliament chambers and the respective constituencies. Neglecting one of these, as happened when you walked out of proceedings is a serious violation of the contract between you and the voter back home.

PS: MPs were not elected to toyi toyi on behalf of losing presidential candidates. Let each get to work where they are supposed to and expected," he said.
