Zanu-PF holds victory celebrations

Bikita West legislator, Elias Musakwa hosted victory celebrations in his constituency to thank the people who voted for Zanu-PF in the 30 July harmonised elections.
The celebrations were attended by the party's National Commissar, Retired Lieutenant General Engelbert Rugeje, among other dignitaries.
Addressing thousands of people who came for the celebrations, Retired Lieutenant General Engelbert Rugeje urged the people of Bikita West to focus on development issues.
He reaffirmed the government's commitment to fulfil promises made during the campaign period.
"This is not the time to look for positions in the party but it is the time to develop our country and remain united," he said.
Musakwa reassured his constituency that he will spearhead developmental projects in schools, health sector as well as road rehabilitation.
"During my tenure, we are going to build schools and clinics. We are also aimed at improving the roads in the area," he said.
Also present at the celebrations was former Zimbabwe People First Masvingo Provincial Chairman, Retired Colonel Claudius Makova who professed his love for Zanu-PF.
"I love Zanu-PF and I never left the party. I just excused myself briefly when I was chased away last year but now I am back," he said.
The Zanu-PF victory celebrations are expected to continue across Masvingo province.
