Political activist Patson Dzamaza has come out in defense of former ZANU PF terror leader Jim Kunaka who has come under fire from ZANU PF members after confessing to committing acts of violence before the Motlanthe commission of inquiry.
Kunaka confessed that when he was in ZANU PF he would be called by the army and instructed to commit acts of violence in defence of the party.
"We all know Jim Kunaka's past, it is not a revelation." Dzamara said. "The fact that he has denounced it matters a lot. That is the difference between you (ZANU PF) and him. Stop trying to lecture us on his past while you are partaking in what he used to do in the past."
Dzamara said he had respect for Kunaka because he acknowledged his sins and has repented.
"I have deep respect for people like Jim Kunaka who realised their past evil ways and are willing to confess and confront them publicly. Meanwhile, there are those who have just joined the evil establishment and they think they have made it because they are getting some crumbs.
"Every sinner has a future and every saint has a past. Even the Bible says, there is joy in heaven when a sinner repents. Confession is part of repentance. Well done Jim Kunaka," continued Dzamara.
"ZANU-PF supporters are delusional. They are trying to convince the world that they love us so much to the extent of wanting to protect us from ZANU-PF murderers! They want the world to know that they feel more pain than us for what we endure at the hands of their evil party."
On Wednesday Kunaka said there is high level meeting that seats at the ZANU PF Headquarters and plans how to deal with opposition members. He fingered one of the commissioners Professor Charity Manyeruke as one of the commanders who used to instruct him to commit acts of violence.
