Norton Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa has dared MDC MPs to choose whether they want to remain in parliament or not instead of boycotting some sessions and attending others.

Mliswa was commenting on todays incident where the MDC Mps refused to recognize President Emmerson Mnangagwa in parliament on Thursday.

"Today's conduct by MDCA is deplorable. It is high time they decided whether they are in or out and stop being hypocritical. It is unfair to the electorate who expect their representation. They missed debating on SONA now the budget then tomorrow will cry foul." Mliswa said.

"Their decision will be respected either way but receiving allowances and not participating is not on. No to 1 foot in 1 foot out. A decision must be made and stood by. If Councilors can report to the Minister, why cannot MPs observe hierarchy?"

This is not the first time that the MDC MPs have refused to recognize Mnangagwa. During the presentation of the State of the Nation address they walked out when the President came in.

Two MDC members of parliament Lynette Karenyi and Tabitha Khumalo have been reportedly  hospitalized after being beaten by police officers at parliament building.
The opposition MPs refused to stand up to show respect to President Emmerson Mnangagwa when he entered the building. They said the regard him as an illegitimate President. This prompted the Speaker of Parliament Advocate Jacob Medenda to ask them to move out and they refused. Police were invited to come and forcibly remove them from parliament building.
