Deputy Minister of Information and Media and Broadcasting Services Energy Mutodi arrived in South Korea on Wednesday where he was welcomed by the Korean cult's Unification Movement secretary-general, Dr Young Ho Yun.
Said Mutodi, "Today I was warmly received by Dr Youngho Yun at their palace in Seoul, South Korea ahead of a business engagement tomorrow with CEOs of big companies interested in Zimbabwe. Step by step we will get Zimbabwe right on track."
Recently the co-Founder of the Unification cult Dr Hak Ja Han Moon was in the country where she was expected to conduct a mass wedding for 4 000 couples. The event was flop after the media and the church exposed Moon as a cultist. President Emmerson Mnangagwa was supposed to grace the event but snubbed it with only Politiburo member Josiah Hungwe and Deputy Minister Mutodi attending it.
South Korea has of late being renewing its energy to engage Zimbabwe.
Recently South Korea handed over office equipment, furniture and motor vehicles worth $130 000 to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade to assist it in fulfilling its expanded mandate.
The ministry was expanded to include international trade under the Second Republic.
Government received two vehicles, computers, printers, chairs, binding machines and other equipment from the Koreans.
Handing over the donation, South Korean Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Cho Jaichel said his country would always support Zimbabwe and contribute to the successful achievement of Vision 2030.
