Chamisa to fire lazy MPs and Councillors

MDC President Nelson Chamisa on Sunday issued a warning to all MDC Members of Parliament and Councillors who are not performing that the party will not hesitate to fire them.
Chamisa who was addressing a Thank You rally in Gweru told his supporters that he issued an instruction to all officials serving in parliament and council to hold feedback meetings in their constituencies.
Chamisa then implored the residents to send names on non-performing MPs to his office so that they can be disciplined or recalled.
The 41-year old politician also took the time to explain that his party remains committed to a national dialogue that is led by a credible person who is neutral.
The rally was inundateD with speeches bordering on the impending MDC congress that is supposed to elect a party leader.
The officials who spoke at the rally including arty Vice President Morgan Komichi called for the endorsement of Chamisa at the May elective Congress.
There are speculations that Secretary General Douglas Mwonzora may spring a surprise and contest for Party Presidency.
ZANU PF apologist and Presidential Spokesperson was quoted in the media in January saying as government they will make sure that Chamisa is contested at the Congress and defeated.
His statements have been used by Chamisa supporters who are saying ZANU PF is plotting to pour money into the Mwonzora camp so that they remove Chamisa from the Presidency.
