Richard Tsvangirayi, the son of the late Trade Unionist and Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirayi has reported that he was sanctioned from opening a bank account with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China because he comes from Zimbabwe.

"So today I tried to open a bank account with ICBC here in China, however, surprisingly, I couldn't do so because I originate from a sensitive country, some of the countries who were on the blacklist are South Sudan, Yemen." Tsvangirayi said.

"Richard that's an international bank that's why. Now in case you were never told the truth, your late father, Biti, Coltart and Chamisa went around calling nations to punish Zimbabwe and its people your father was hoping to govern. Welcome to reality of sick politics buy MDC." One Kelvin responded to Richard.

Richard Tsvangirayi however said Zimbabwe needs to fix the fundamental issues of human rights before sanctions are removed.

"You are right sanctions are not good, but sanctions are a result of bad behaviour. Let's address the fundamental problem because you can't hate the tree and not hate the roots. The fundamental  problem is the perpetuation of inhuman activities, by ending that, thus ending sanctions.

"You enjoy building houses on flawed foundations, right? Introduced a new currency without addressing the fundamentals, sanctions should be lifted without addressing the fundamentals. To end sanctions, stop killing and raping people; restore the rule of law."

Recently, the  European Union renewed sanctions against Zimbabwe's  former President Robert Mugabe and former First Lady Grace Mugabe.

They also renewed sanctions against the Zimbabwe Defense Industries.
