The MDC Alliance will hold its national congress in Gweru from tomorrow Friday to Sunday.
In a statement, the Nelson Chamisa party has reveled itinerary for the elective event which is aimed at putting together a team to challenge Zanu-PF's stranglehold on power in the country.
"The host province, Midlands has engaged a high gear as all roads lead to Gweru tomorrow for the MDC historic Congress at Ascot Stadium which will define a new course for Zimbabwe," said Dr Takavafira Zhou, the party's Secretary for Information and Publicity.
"The 24th will see the arrival and conduction of youths and women wings Congress. Official opening on Saturday 8. 30am while delegates would go into various thematic committees for robust debate with the report backs penciled at 2pm."
He said on Saturday at 6pm provinces that did not have the opportunity for provincial caucuses such as Masvingo and Manicaland will be given an opportunity to listen to candidates presenting their Manifestos.
"The big day is Sunday 26th when Congress delegates would elect members of the standing committee tasked with leading and walking a paradigm shift in the course of Zimbabwean history, in our struggle for a better life for Zimbabweans and indeed in the triumph of democracy, liberty and freedom," said Dr Zhou.
