MDC Deputy National Chairperson Job Sikhala has been reported missing after the lawyers representing him and the Senior party leadership waited for him at the Harare Magistrates court on Wednesday afternoon.
The National Prosecuting Authority had made an undertaking to Sikhala's lawyers that his initial court appearance will be done in Harare at 2 PM after having earlier said he will be transferred to Masvingo for the same.
The official position of the MDC at the time of writing was that Sikhala is missing.
"Constitution states every accused person has right to representation by lawyer(s), ZLHR Lawyers are concerned. The hide and seek game between lawyers and @ZRP_Zim must stop forthwith! Lawyers don't know where @JobWiwa is." The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights said in a statement.
