Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission chairperson Loice Matanda Moyo has warned politicians to stop interfering with the Commission's work while declaring an end of the road for those who joined politics to line their pockets with ill gotten wealth.
In an interview with Alpha Media Holdings owner Trevor Ncube, Matanda Moyo said those who joined politics for corrupt purposes should leave the field immediately.
"Politicians do not interfere with us we want to do our job independently. Stop being corrupt and go into politics because you want to serve the nation, don't go into politics because you want to line up your pockets," said Matanda Moyo.
"It's time to reassess yourselves and if you got into politics to line up your pocket with ill gotten wealth then it's time to get out of politics."
Zacc has made two high profile arrests within a week, first nabbing Tourism minister Prisca Mupfumira over allegations of corruption and criminal abuse of office involving funds at NSSA when she was still Public Service minister.
Former State Residence principal director Douglas Tapfuma was also arrested for allegedly importing vehicles into the country without proper procedure. Tapfuma allegedly sold the vehicles at car sales around Kwekwe, Midlands province.
