Zanu-PF youths have embarked on a door to door campaign ahead of a watershed election.
The campaign is set to send shivers down the spines of Zimbabweans who bore the brunt of Zanu-PF's violent 2008 campaign, the party has started moving door to door to woo voters.
The campaign has been launched in Harare but is set to spread across the country as election fever hots up.
Zanu-PF spokesperson Rugare Gumbo defended the campaign, but said it was not a party-sanctioned project.
Groups of 4 to 5 party activists have been moving in suburbs such as Cranborne and the Avenues area dropping party registration forms at each household before returning the following day for collection.
The team has also been encouraging residents to buy Zanu-PF membership cards but there are fears things could turn violent particularly as some of the teams are carrying out the campaign after hours.
