Chombo, ex-wife Marian to contest Zanu-PF primary elections

Zanu-PF Politburo member and Local Government minister Ignatius Chombo and his ex-wife Marian will face each other in the Zvimba North constituency primary elections.

The seat is currently held by Chombo. Edwin Matibiri is also vigorously campaigning to represent Zanu-PF in that constituency in the general elections expected this year.

Zanu-PF insiders confirmed Marian and Matibiri were attempting to break Chombo's 18-year stranglehold on the constituency.
