President Mugabe is expected to intervene in the Renco Mine saga today to put finality to the on-going ownership wrangle that has sucked in one of his ministers.
Tourism minister Walter Mzembi and Zanu-PF MP Irvine Dzingirai (Chivi South) invaded Renco Mine last month arguing that it was a way to resolve a payment dispute between the mine workers and their employer.
Kasukuwere and President Mugabe are going to Masvingo today to launch a community share ownership trust and dealing with the entire mine in the province.
Meanwhile, Mzembi and his co-applicants Dzingirai and Mazombwe have filed an appeal at the Supreme Court against the High Court judgement ejecting them from RioZim's Renco Mine.
In a notice of appeal dated February11 2013, Mzembi through his lawyer Jonathan Samkange said Justice Hlekani Mwayera should not have heard the matter which was purely a labour dispute.
Mzembi, together with his colleagues denied they were in possession and control of the mines and could therefore not possibly have dispossessed RioZim.
