A SEX-CRAZY teenager landed her mother in trouble after she was arraigned before a Chipinge court facing malicious damage to property after she went berserk and destroyed property belonging to her lover.
Moddy Gumbo (39) of Mashiri in Chipinge was convicted by Mr Makamera Waini and was sentenced to seven months imprisonment.
Mr Waini, however, set aside three months of the sentence on condition that she restitutes the complainant, while the remaining four months were suspended on condition of good behaviour.
The State said on February 10, Moddy went to Fanuel Mlambo's house and destroyed his solar panels, pots and other property worth $70.
"Moddy went to the complainant's house at around 10pm and started shouting obscenities before throwing stones on the roof of Mlambo's house. She eventually forced herself into the house where she claimed that her daughter was locked in and destroyed property worth $ 70," said Mr Witness Nyamundaya who appeared for the State.
Mlambo escaped through the window and fled for dear life leaving the teen in his house.
In her defence, Moddy said her behaviour was motivated by the love of her child.
"Your worship, the complainant is a married man in his 40s who is also a relative. However, he unashamedly had an affair with my teenager daughter and on the day in question he had locked her for the night and I got a hint from my son and I was enraged," she said.
