Zanu-PF primary elections to be held on Tuesday,

Zanu-PF National Chairman, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo has announced that the Zanu-PF primary elections that were slated for Wednesday will now be held on Tuesday, the 25th of June 2013.
In an interview with the ZBC, Ambassador Moyo, who is also the chairman of the Zanu-PF National Elections Directorate, said given the position of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) that prospective parliamentary and council candidates are required to register their nominations at ZEC offices throughout the country on Wednesday, the 26th of June 2013, the Zanu-PF primary elections will now take place on Tuesday.
He said the provincial elections directorates are mandated to run the primary elections in their respective provinces in a free, fair and transparent manner.
Ambassador Moyo said the National Elections Directorate is therefore appealing for the final lists of candidates in all categories by 10.am on Wednesday, the 26th of June 2013.
